Clark Youth Theatre, in partnership with The Penguin Project, presents “Aladdin Kids.” Music by Alan Menken, Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and Music adapted and arranged by Bryan Louiselle. Book by David Simpatico based on the 1992 Disney film Aladdin.

Performances are February 16-17 at 7:30 p.m. and February 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Cascia Hall PAC, 2520 S Yorktown Ave, Tulsa, OK 74114.

The Penguin Project® provides an opportunity for children with disabilities to develop creative skills related to the theatre arts. The program includes children with cognitive, learning, motor, hearing and visual impairments; genetic disorders; and neurological conditions. They are joined on stage by peer mentors, who work with them side-by-side to guide them in rehearsals and performances.

Clark Youth Theatre is proud to be the first theatre in Oklahoma to produce The Penguin Project®, conceived by Dr. Andrew Morgan, Professor Emeritus of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. Since 2004, The Penguin Project® has produced one musical theatre production each year at Eastlight Theatre in East Peoria, IL. There are currently seven replication sites around the country, and Clark Youth Theatre is the newest replication site for The Penguin Project®.

The production is directed by Norah Sweeney, with music direction by Tammy Slack, choreography by Darla Cooper, and stage management by Cathy Blackmore.
